Swann is a professional actor and independent filmmaker, who produces films, commercials, TV shows, music videos, internet videos and occasionally works as a performer for Universal Studios Orlando.
Since graduating with a B.A. in Mass Communications from Hofstra University, he has taught science in classrooms and on stage as Solar Swann. He has taught moviemaking & video creation after-school classes and camps to children through Talk to the Camera.
And for the last 2 years, through his acting workshop, T2TC, Swann has helped actors develop their skills before the camera, and navigate the tricky business of acting.
Swann is also a kids acting coach, and continues to help his ensemble of actors of all ages excel at their craft and book more roles.
This is an ongoing weekly workshop for beginners who have the goal of being a working actor. Through exercises in class and via self tape, we work on identifying your "type" and becoming familiar with it by working with scenes, monologues, commercials and improv.
Kids learn: Character development, acting techniques for all on-camera mediums, scene work, monologues, and improv skills.
Students set up, act in, and film their scenes - following instruction time with a seasoned professional. Kids are expected to use their own devices to film clips, and are asked to share their footage-- so our editors can make TV magic!
In this workshop, participants will be taught the ins and outs of acting in scenario role-play for CIT and other role-play type trainings.
